Privacy policy

Last updated 1 September 2026.

This describes exactly what this website collects, why, and who else sees it. It describes what the site actually does, rather than everything a website could conceivably do.

Who we are

Prairie Equipment Company, LLC, doing business as Grappler Specialty Products, in Victoria, Minnesota. Questions about anything on this page can go to sales@grapplerusa.com or (952) 949-2430.

We sell to customers in the United States and ship from Minnesota.

What we collect, and why

When you place an order

We ask for, and store:

  • Your name, email address, and telephone number
  • Your city or company name, and a purchase order number if you give one
  • The delivery address, including the ZIP code
  • What you ordered, and what it cost

We use it to fulfil and ship the order, to contact you about it, to work out the correct sales tax for your delivery address, and to keep a lasting record of the sale. How long that record lasts is set out below.

When you request a quotation

Your name, email address, telephone number, company, the product and quantity you asked about, and anything you write in the message box. We use it to answer you.

While you browse

We record which pages were viewed and which items were added to a cart. This is stored on our own server and is not tied to your name unless you go on to place an order.

Your card details

We never see your card number, and it never reaches our server. Payment is taken on a page hosted by Stripe, our payment provider. You are sent there to pay and returned here afterwards. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and a transaction reference. We do not receive, store, or have any way to retrieve the card number, expiry date, or security code.

Cookies

This site sets a few cookies of its own, each needed for the site to work, and Google Analytics sets its own. None of ours can be read by scripts on the page.

  • Your cart. Remembers what you have added, so it is still there if you close the tab. It holds product codes and quantities and nothing else, and it expires after thirty days. A second cookie holds a promo code if you enter one, for the same thirty days.
  • Signing in. Only if you have an account and sign in. It keeps you signed in for up to thirty days, and signing out removes it.
  • Form protection. A random value that stops another site from submitting forms here in your name. It holds nothing about you and lasts a week.
  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which products they look at, so we know what to stock and what to write about. It sets its own cookies. We have switched off Google Signals and advertising personalisation, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you. Google's own description of what it collects is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Blocking cookies in your browser will stop analytics. Blocking ours will stop the cart and signing in working, because there is nowhere else to remember them.

Who else sees your information

Each for a specific reason:

  • Stripe, to take the payment.
  • The carrier that delivers your order, which needs the delivery address.
  • Google Analytics, as described above.

Our website runs on servers rented from Amazon Web Services, who therefore hold the data on our behalf, and order and account emails are sent through our email provider, Resend, which handles your email address to deliver them.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We would disclose it if we were legally required to, and not otherwise.

How long we keep it

We keep order records indefinitely. These are tools with a working life measured in decades, and being able to tell you in ten years what you bought, what size it was, and when, is part of supporting them. A record of an order is a record of a job.

Quotation requests are kept while they are useful and reviewed periodically. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.

Asking us to change or delete something

Write to sales@grapplerusa.com or call (952) 949-2430 and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it.

The exception is a completed order. We keep those as a permanent business record, for the reason given above, and we would rather tell you that plainly than imply otherwise. Anything else, we will remove.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you specific rights over your information. We will honor a request of this kind whether or not a law requires us to.

Security

The whole site is served over an encrypted connection. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach us. Access to order records is restricted to the owner of the business.

No system is perfect. If you believe something has gone wrong with your information, please call us rather than waiting.

Children

These are professional tools sold to public works departments and contractors. The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will change this page and update the date at the top.
